I'm 56 years old married 35 years and yes to the same man whom I fell head over heels,40 years ago at the age of 16. I have three wonderful children,two girls age 34 and 33 and one boy age 27. Seventeen years ago just a couple of months away from my 40th birthday I was diagnosed with System Lupus Erythematosis. For those of you who are not familiar with this disease, simply explained, it is an Incurable Autoimmune Disease. I went from being a very active person who loved swimming,loved the beach and the sun,loved playing basketball with my son,loved playing baseball at family picnic's, loved to dance,run and...Well you get the picture. Over the course of seventeen years living with Lupus has been a challenge for me to say the least. Complications due to this disease has had me face having to find a new way of life.
